Fri, Feb 12, 2016 at 7:30pm
Battle of the Bards is Ghost Light Theatricals annual FUNdraiser. The purpose of Battle of the Bards is to raise funds for Ghost Light, while simultaneously producing unique and exciting scenes based on classical theatre, providing a laboratory for directors and actors to take risks, and getting in touch with the network of talent in the Seattle theater community.
In Battle of the Bards, three ensembles perform scenes from three classical play adaptations. The audience then picks which play goes into Ghost Light’s 2016-17 Season. Admission includes one vote – additional votes are only $1 each. All proceeds support the work of Ghost Light Theatricals.
EMERALD GREEN AND THE 7 PUNS by Sarah Rose Nottingham
Emeral Green and the 7 Puns follows Emerald Green as she is passive-aggressively asked to leave her home of five years and searches for an affordable place to rent in Seattle. Will EG be homeless? Will she fall in love with everyone's favorite barista? Will the Seattle Freeze get in the way of her happiness? Only the Space Needle knows.

BIG BAD an original devised work inspired by Little Red Riding Hood
created by DangerSwitch
directed by Evelyn DeHais
From the ensemble that brought you Mad Scientist Cabaret comes BIG BAD, a haunting and playful exploration into the origins of Little Red Riding Hood. Using physical theater, dance, puppetry, and music, we ask: Where do wolves come from? What makes good people go bad? What's the point of no return? And in the dark shadows of the woods, where no one can see you sin... can anyone become the Big Bad Wolf?
